TANGIBLE MEMORY.
“Because if the organism does not have the sense of touch, it cannot have any other sense.” - Aristotle.
Our sense of touch matters more than we all think. Our vision and hearing are just more developed and easier to name. But what if, in the future we can only depend on our sense of touch?
“Tangible memory” is about making memories or events, that we can normally see and / or hear through photos and videos, tangible. This will all change when our vision and hearing are affected by the new technologies. We are then dependent on our sense of touch to perceive our environment.
My project shows how shape and material together play an important role in experiencing our environment. Especially when we can only feel. We need to “see” with our hands to relive memories.
